Getting to Barcelona from the Airport
El Prat-Josep Tarradellas Airport (BCN) is the main Barcelona airport. It is about 13 km south-west of the Barcelona city centre (Plaça Catalunya). From the airport you can get to the city by Aerobus, Bus (TMB), train, metro or taxi.
Aerobús (A1 and A2)
Aerobús is a special service to get to Barcelona from the airport to the city center.
Special bus service that connects Barcelona airport with the city center. This service normally works between 5 and 10 minutes within its fixed hours of operation.
You can take the Aerobus from outside Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The Aerobús will take you to the city center, where you can get off at Plaça España or Plaça de Catalunya. There are other stops that we recommend that you consult the questions mentioned on their specified Aerobus page.
Tickets for T1 and T2 cost the same.
ne-way ticket: € 7.25 / Round trip ticket: € 12.50 / Return ticket validity: 15 days
Visit the specific page of the Aerobus service of the Barcelona airport for more detailed information, including the schedule. (https://aerobusbarcelona.es/)
Train (Renfe)
Airport train departing from Barcelona airport:
The entrance to the train station is located on Terminal 2. It can also be reached by the same stairs that lead to the departure hall. Follow the signs of RENFE by a covered bridge that crosses the main road outside the airport. The train station is at the base of the stairs on the other side.
If you arrive or leave from Terminal 1, you will not be able to walk to or from the train station. You need to take the free shuttle bus that connects the train station with the Terminal 2.
When you arrive at the train station of the Barcelona airport, to take the shuttle bus you must walk to the end of the train platform and leave the building through the door located on the left. The shuttle bus stop is located here. Shuttle buses are scheduled to match train arrival times.
Price: 4,10€
The frequency of trains is variable during the day, therefore, we recommend that you visit the RENFE website with the schedules here: http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/cercanias/barcelona/
Metro
The subway is another means of transport that you can use to go from the airport to the center of Barcelona. There is a stop in both T1 and T2.
The metro line of the airport is the L9 Sud that ends in the University Zone. The journey is covered in about 45 minutes. The price of the ticket costs 4.5 euros (it is a special rate for trips to the airport).
Bus (TMB. Number 46)
This bus operates during the day from both airport terminals. The bus number 46 travels from T1. It continues to T2 and then goes to city center. This bus has more stops than the Aerobus and takes more time to travel to the city center; However, the great advantage of using this bus is that you can use the T10 transport ticket on this trip, unlike the Aerobus. The frequency is about 15 minutes.
By taxi
The taxi is one of the most comfortable and fast ways (after private transfer) to reach your destination. A journey from Barcelona airport to the center (Pl. Catalunya) will normally cost between 30 and 35 euros. If there is not much traffic it takes between 20 and 30 minutes.
Keep in mind that the driver can apply some surcharges to the taximeter, including luggage and traveling to or from the airport. You will see the rates and surcharges on a table inside the taxi. You can also check them in this link: http://taxi.amb.cat/s/en/taxista/tarifes-i-taxes.html

La Paloma – Welcome Cocktail
Thursday, June 27. 8:30pm.
Carrer del Tigre 27, Barcelona (Tiger Street)
The entrance to the dance hall La Paloma can be found at number 27 Carrer del Tigre (Tiger Street). From the outside it has the appearance of an industrial unit, as La Paloma took over the premises of what had been the Comas foundry up until that time, where it has always been said that the famous Barcelona statue of Christopher Columbus was forged.
In the year 1903, three friends founded the dance hall and christened it with the name that has endured until now. They were not very imaginative, because it is the name of one of the streets on which the building is located, in the vicinity of Tigre and Lleó streets. It seems that the origin of these three names is to be found in the names of the three dogs that belonged to the guard of the allotments that used to be there.
Advertisements and film sequences are frequently shot at La Paloma, and all sorts of activities take place there: concerts, dinners and parties, presentations, cultural events, fashion shows, plays…, but it is especially the well-known dance sessions accompanied by an orchestra in the evenings and at night, which continue to attract so many different generations of dancers of mambo, bolero, conga, boogaloo, paso doble, tango, cha-cha-cha… and also of the most modern rhythms.
All these dancers belong to a loyal and fun clientele that has been coming to dance at La Paloma for many years and that has given rise to a true gallery of characters that are now part of its history: the Artist, the Mayoress, Tiger, the Sheriff, Tarzan…, these are some of the names that will always live on inside the hall. La Paloma is an authentic institution of immortal Barcelona.
